Join the Drive - MX5's Driving Out Cancer

Meeting Points

We are welcoming as many MX5’s on the drive as possible. Come as an individual or speak with your local MX5 Owners Club AC about arranging a group drive, whatever takes your fancy. But please remember that this drive is to raise money and is not a normal Sunday drive, so please come with a pocket full of cash and we will be happy to relieve you of it :-).

If you want to drive part of the run please see below for the daily meeting points, then you decide how far you want to go before dropping off.

22/05/2022 - Day 0 Arriving at Lands End

Arriving about 4.00pm at Lands End, its holiday season and there will be a lot of people visiting we hope to collect as much money as possible at the start of our run.

Its also a great time for the MX5 world to come and see us and wish us well on our journey. We will be staying at the Lands End Hotel (TR19 7AA) for the evening.

23/05/2022 - Day 1 Start From Lands End

9.00am – DEPART – Lands End Hotel (TR19 7AA) (93 Miles)

12.30pm – ARRIVE – Honiton – Lace Walk Car Park (EX14 1LT)

LUNCH AND CLUB MEET POINT – VISIT CANCER RESEARCH SHOP

2.00pm – DEPART – Honiton (61 Miles)

3.30pm – ARRIVE – Two Locations

Half the Group will stop at Glastonbury at the Cancer Research Shop (BA6 9DX) – Quick Photo Stop
The other half the group will drive through to Wells to the Cancer Research Shop (BA5 2SG) – Quick Photo Stop

6.00pm – Evening Club Meet – arrival at Cheddar Gorge (BS27 3QA)
7.00pm – Drive Through Cheddar Gorge

It would be amazing if the local MX5’s could meet us at Cheddar Gorge for a BIG drive through the Gorge

24/05/2022 - Day 2 Start From Cheddar Gorge

8.30am – DEPART – Cheddar Gorge

10.15am – ARRIVE – Tintern Abbey car park (NP16 6SE) Club Meeting Point

11.15am – DEPART – Tintern Abbey – Club Drive

12.15pm – ARRIVE – Tewkesbury Abbey – Gander Lane car park (GL20 5PG)

Lunch Stop and Club Meet Point – VISIT CANCER RESEARCH SHOP

1.45pm – DEPART – Tewkesbury

5.30pm – ARRIVE – Coopers Arms – Weston Hall, Weston-on-Trent, Derby DE72 2BJ – Club Meet Point

25/05/2022 - Day 3 Start From Derbyshire

9.00am – DEPART – Derby Burton Services, Derby DE65 6DX – Club Meet Point

Arrive – Ashbourne (14 miles) – Drive Past Cancer Research Shop (Beeping Horns)

2.00pm – ARRIVE – Roadchef Durham Services A1(M) (DH6 5NP) – Club Drive Meeting point

3.00pm – DEPART – Roadchef Durham

4.30pm – ARRIVE – Berwick Upon Tweed Qury Wall Car Park (TD15 1HE)

5.30pm – Berwick Upon Tweed Premier Inn (TD15 1ER)

26/05/2022 - Day 4 Start From Berwick Upon Tweed

8:30am – DEPART – Berwick Upon Tweed Premier Inn (TD15 1ER)

10:00am – ARRIVE – MX5OC HQ – 27 West Way, Dalgety Bay, Dunfermline KY11 9AE

11:00am – DEPART – MX5OC HQ

From HQ head toward the M90 to Perth
Refuel Stop – Kinross Services M90 – Possible meeting point for Club Drive through Cairngorms.
Perth to Inverness Via General Wades Old Military Road
Via Braemar/ Strathdon/Grantown on Spey/Tomatin

5.00pm – ARRIVE – Premier Inn Inverness East hotel – Beechwood Business Park, Sir Walter Scott Dr, Inverness IV2 3BW

27/05/2022 - Day 5 Start From Inverness

8.30am DEPART – Premier Inn Inverness East Hotel
10.00am ARRIVE – Dunrobin Castle (Castle opens 10am)
12.00PM DEPART- Dunrobin Castle to John O Groats
1.45PM ARRIVE – John O Groats
3.30 PM DEPART – John O Groats
4.00 PM ARRIVE – Premier Inn Thurso
